The Middle... a rant of sorts

Sometimes there are things that happen that you have no control over.  Sometimes they are good and sometimes they are bad.  Recently, I was put in a situation that I don't relish... the middle.  I despise being put in an awkward place and I especially hate being told what to do.  I'm a 40 something year old woman and the last time I checked, I have been making my own decisions for quite a few years.  But having said that, as my dad (Goddess bless his soul) used to say, you have to do things that you don't want to in order to keep the said peace.  Is it going to help?  Probably not.  Is this person going to believe me when I say that I didn't know anything about the said incident?  Probably not.

All I can do is be me and be true to how I was raised.  At the end of the day, I have to lay my head on my pillow with a clear conscience.  I was raised to be fair, honest and kind, but to also not take any s**t!  I have taken the high road for so long, I really do enjoy the view, but sometimes it's a lonely path.

I thank the Goddess for giving me the fortitude to hold my tongue when I would really like to let loose.  I am better than that and I refuse to stoop to that level.  It is my hope that this situation resolves itself without any more hurt feelings, but I don't see that happening.  And as I have been put in the middle, I am trying to find the balance to walk the tightrope that has been strung for me.

Beginnings

Greetings from my little corner of the world!  I thought that I would attempt my hand at a blog.  I don't know that what I have to say is important or not, but I think it will be a good outlet for me.  If anything, it will help me with my thought processes on things that I am going through.

It is my hope to share things that I am going through, reading, watching or general craft and cooking ideas that spring into my mind.  And trust me, that could be just about anything!  So, sit back with your favorite beverage of choice and hopefully enjoy my ramblings...
